Reports
A report is a single engagement. It holds your metadata, sections, and findings, and exports as a DOCX. Everything starts from the Reports dashboard.
The dashboard
When you open NullReport you land here, your home base for every engagement.
The list of reports: title, status badge, client, author, last-updated, and finding count.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| List / Grid | Toggle a dense row layout or a visual card layout (your choice is remembered). |
| Status filter | Show only Draft, In Review, Complete, or any custom status. |
| Client filter | Show only one client's reports (clients are pulled from your existing reports). |
| Sort | Last Updated (default) or Title (A to Z). |
Creating a report
- Click New Report (top-right).
- Fill in Title, Client (pick existing or type new), and Template (the DOCX skeleton).
- Click Create, and you land straight in the editor.
The client dropdown remembers clients from previous reports, so you never retype them.
The report editor
Open any report and you get three tabs, each with a count badge:
Metadata, Content, and Findings tabs across the top, each showing a count badge.
Metadata tab
Four cards plus a fields list:
- Client: pick an existing client or add a new one.
- Template: the DOCX template used for export (you're warned if it was deleted).
- Status: click the badge to change it (see below).
- Assignees Team: who can edit. The creator is always included and can't be removed. On Free and Pro this card shows only the creator.
- Metadata fields: key/value pairs included in the export (Assessment Date, Report Version, Assessor, and so on). Add fields, set a type (Text or Date), or remove them. Defaults come from Settings.
Content and Findings tabs
The Content tab holds your sections in the rich-text editor; see Sections. The Findings tab holds your vulnerabilities with severity and CVSS; see Findings.
Report statuses
Statuses track where a report sits in your workflow, shown as colored badges everywhere:
The defaults are Draft, In Review, and Complete, but you can rename them, recolor them, or add your own in Settings → Defaults.
Assignees and permissions Team
Assignees control who can edit a report (the creator is always assigned).
| Manage assignees | Can be assigned | Can delete | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Admin | Any report | Yes | Any report |
| Editor | Reports they're assigned to | Yes | Only reports they created |
| Viewer | No | No | No |
On Free and Pro there's a single user, so a report simply stays with its creator. Admins can always edit any report regardless of assignment. See Users & Roles.
Saving
The editor auto-saves as you work, and you'll see a save-status indicator while you type. You can also click Save to flush everything (metadata, sections, and findings) immediately.
Deleting a report
Right-click a report on the dashboard, choose Delete, and confirm. Deletion is permanent. Admins can delete any report; Editors can delete only ones they created. The right-click menu also offers Edit / View, depending on your permission.
